Jörg M Henne
Jörg Henne studied mechanical engineering at the University of Bochum and the Technical University of Aachen and graduated as Dipl. Ing. in 1982. In 1988 he was awarded Dr. Ing. (Ph. D.) for a thesis on unsteady transonic flow in turbomachines at the Institute of Jet Propulsion in Aachen.
Later in 1988 Dr. Henne joined MTU Aero Engines AG in Munich, where he held different leading positions in engineering during the following years.
Since 2001 Dr. Jörg Henne is the Senior Vice President of engineering and technology at MTU Aero Engines AG. In this position Dr. Henne is responsible for technology, military and civil development programs, engineering including testing and materials.
Under his leadership MTU contributed to the certification of the engines GP7000, TP400, the PW1100G family of Geared Turbofan Engines and the PW800 for business jets.
